Investment in Social Housing

Urban Social Housing specialises in the development of needs-led housing. We have proven success in partnering with local authorities, housing associations, care providers and charities to create fit-for purpose property schemes for those needing standard housing to the most vulnerable.

We are constantly focusing our efforts to supply maximum number of properties each year in order to address the national housing crisis in the UK which currently has approximately 1.1 million house holds on the waiting list for social housing, with that number set to double in the next 3 years. In addition a further 300,000 vulnerable individuals, are either sleeping on the streets, in temporary housing or homeless shelters. Moreover one in three adults in Britain is affected by the housing emergency, either indirectly or directly, subsequently equating to 17.5 million people without safe, secure and stable housing in the fifth wealthiest country in the world.

We remain focused on the on the ongoing, widespread issues surrounding the housing crisis and homelessness throughout the UK that led to the Government to implement The Homelessness Reduction Act 2017. This law placed statutory obligations on local authorities to actively address the problem and to intervene to reduce and prevent homelessness within their region, through the provision of housing services and housing for families, individuals and those at risk of homelessness.
